Poker Wallpaper
Suprise Husband and take old wallpaper off and replace with paint or new wallpaper?
I am trying to make a Poker Room for my husband but our wallpaper in our home is very outdated and has flowers on it. I have 2 rooms and a little hallway to take off the wallpaper. How do I take off the wallpaper? Is it better to do wallpaper again or paint after? Desperatley need help. My husband is coming home from the Military on August 15th and need to get this done……….
There are several wallpaper removers you can purchase that are in spray bottles. You will need first to find out what kind of wallpaper you have on the wall, as well as what condition the wall is behind it (and don’t be surprised if there is more than one layer of wallpaper).
If the wallpaper is intact, with a few little pieces, though, you might opt to paint over it instead. Remember to use primer paint to make sure the final paint will stick to the wallpaper, or re-wallpaper the walls.
There are several great websites (DIY.net, HGTV, etc) that show you how to do this, plus sometimes you might luck out and someone at the local Lowes, for example, could show you how to do this.
But start small, one room at a time.
